Ronaldo Still Has Spanish DreaM

Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has re-iterated his desire to play abroad one day.
Ronaldo is reportedly Real Madrid's number one transfer target for this summer after another stunning season at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese wing king has netted 19 times in just 20 Premier League starts already this term, and has 27 goals in all competitions.

Talk of a 50million Real swoop has been rife in recent weeks, and while Ronaldo is happy at Old Trafford right now he says would like to play abroad one day.

He told The Daily Mirror: "I am certain over my desire to play in Spain at some stage.

"But that is not significant at the moment. I love playing for United and I am very happy in England. Italy is another league that is very attractive to me."

Ronaldo lost out to brilliant Brazilian Kaka in the race to become European and World player of the year for 2007.

But he says he wouldn't be surprised to see that change this year.

"I don't need to demonstrate that I am the No.1 in the world," added Ronaldo.

"Over the nine months of the season the work you do will show who really is the best. If I am named the best in the world, it won't be a surprise to me.

"I'm 23 now and I never believed I would find myself in such a privileged position in the world of football, playing at the highest level for a club of United's standing."
